Carol A. Nappi
Founder
Carol Nappi is the founder and sole principal of Salon YOSHIKO at Bergdorf Goodman, and a lifetime client of the iconic retailer. With a mission of mind, body, and spirit, Carol’s vision is to change how we view our own beauty: as an expression of what we feel in our soul, rather than what we see in the mirror. She began her career, working as a psychotherapist for over twenty years and has been active in philanthropy for over three decades. Carol envisions the salon as an additional platform to raise awareness while giving back Salon service profits to local charities.
Seiji Kitazato
Creative Director
Seiji’s career as a stylist spans three and a half decades at top salons in Tokyo, Paris and New York. Known for creating feminine, natural, effortless and sexy styles, he believes that hair can change a woman's mood and her sense of confidence. During NYFW Seiji has worked for designers including Oscar de la Renta, Chanel and DVF and he has been quoted in numerous magazines including Allure, The New York Times and New Beauty.
Parvin Klein
Color Director
Master Colorist Parvin Klein arrived in NYC in 1981 with a passion for all things hair. Her masterful coloring, selfless nature and optimistic attitude are only a few of her most memorable qualities. With more than 35 years of experience, she's mastered the craft of hair and coloring - a testament all of her premium clientele will echo. Her clients are both reputable and loyal including Martha Stewart, Kathy Hilton and more. She has been named one of NYC’s best colorists from the likes of W Magazine, Allure, Refinery29 and more.
Justin Block
Stylist
With a fresh and updated perspective to hairstyling, and 20 years of experience in the industry, Justin prides himself on catering to each client’s unique needs with a fun, yet meticulous approach. Understanding the challenges of hairstyling, his goal is to create a no-frills yet beautiful look that his clients can self-maintain and recreate. Justin is very passionate about making a healthy and positive impact on his client’s lives.
Luis Perez
Colorist
Luis Perez is known for stunning multidimensional color that always looks as alive as it does natural. He’s established his own unique style and following within Salon YOSHIKO at BG. Learning and developing his balayage formulation and color correction techniques, helps him create the newest looks without causing damage to his client’s hair. Luis is known for his intuition and ability to examine your hair texture, skin tone, and eye color before proposing a solution.
Georges Reus
Colorist
Georges Reus was introduced to Parisian glamour and style by some of his closest friends and learned the art of Balayage after moving to Paris from his hometown Lille France. Georges continued his training at Jacques Dessange Paris and joined the Frederic Fekkai team in 1998, where he became part of the revolutionary approach to hair style and hair color. He is a master of the Balayage technique, creating looks with a distinct approach to hair color: natural with an edge. Georges’ amazing eye for color has allowed him to collaborate with many publications including Vogue, Marie Claire UK, Elle magazine, and Glamour.
Alexis Unno
Colorist
Alexis Unno and her husband Manabu are fashion and beauty insiders with over twenty-five years of experience in the industry. They originally met at Garren New York where they worked as a color and cutting team for more than a decade. Throughout the years, their editorial work has spanned the pages of Vogue, Vogue Japan, Harper’s Bazaar, W magazine and more. They have worked with such celebrated photographers such as Steven Meisel, Bruce Weber, and Annie Leibowitz, and their advertising campaigns include Neutrogena, Pantene, L’Oréal, and Clairol.
Manabu Unno
Stylist
Manabu Unno and his wife Alexis are fashion and beauty insiders with over twenty-five years of experience in the industry. Stefanie Francois
Stylist
Stefanie has been a working stylist for over two decades. Her expertise has enabled her to explore all facets of the beauty industry and has built a loyal clientele both in NYC and around the country. As a senior stylist in one of the top luxury salons in NYC, she explored her love of education and helped teach and mentor many of the new talent joining the team. At the same time her talents flourished outside of salon, styling the runways of NYFW, TV and print campaigns as well as major movies amassing editorial credits. Stefanie’s true passion is bringing out the best in everyone she comes into contact with while creating effortless looks that are easy to maintain.
Angel Mendez
Stylist
Angel Mendez began his career at Frederic Fekkai, perfecting his craft and specializing in Bridal and fashion week. Trained in extensions, his overall esthetic is soft effortless beauty, working with the natural movement of hair and enhancing its prominent features for a seamless finish.
Herve Merlino
Stylist
Stylist Herve Merlino was born and raised in the South of France and began his career in luxury salons in Paris spending 8 tremendous years at Jean-Marc Maniatis. In 1997, Herve relocated to New York City joining the famed team at Frederic Fekkai, where he remained for over a decade. After establishing a devout client base, Herve also had residencies at the Cornelia Day Spa and Sharon Dorram Color at Sally Hershberger before moving to the John Barrett Salon. He is now elated to be a part of Salon YOSHIKO at Bergdorf Goodman team. Herve’s cutting technique is a precise, yet versatile approach formed in France and perfected in the States. He believes that his clients should not feel limited or intimidated by their facial shape and features and should be able to choose the exact style they want. It is his responsibility as a problem-solver to discover how each client can achieve the look they desire. A consultation begins with just the client and Herve standing in front of a mirror. By observing a client’s lifestyle and personal aesthetic, he can tailor the perfect cut each and every time. IHe prides hiself on this “6thsense” – an ability to immediately understand what a client wants, keeping them coming back time and again.
Katsu Nakamura
Stylist
Katsu Nakamura was born in Japan and trained under top celebrity hairstylists for years in Tokyo before moving to New York City. Over the past 16 years he has worked with celebrity clients and TV personalities such as Martha Stewart, Andreja Pejic and top editors from Vogue, ELLE, Marie Claire, Vanity Fair and Lucky. Katsu’s number one goal is to make his clients feel confident and proud of their hair.
Leonard Calandra
Stylist
With a passion for beauty and fashion, Leonard began his beauty journey close to home in the suburbs of New York City. Working as a freelance stylist, his work graced the runways in Paris with designers like Versace, Dolce & Gabbana and Chanel. His editorial credits include the covers of Harper’s Bazaar and a list of celebrity clientele including Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway. He consulted with major brands like Clairol, before coming off the road and returning to his salon roots. Today Leonard brings his creativity and clientele to our collective at Salon YOSHIKO. He believes in creating looks that are easy, fashion forward and customized to each individual client.
Jonn Rhamani
Stylist
With a career that spans nearly 2 decades at top salons in NYC, London and DC, Jonn began his beauty career training as a stylist at Graham Webb. Upon graduation he joined the team at Bruno Dessange before jetting to London for another chapter of his story. From there his journey took him to Frederic Fekkai and Salon AKS in NYC where he worked in the salon as well as doing fashion and editorial work. Today Jonn brings his creativity and clientele to our collective at Salon YOSHIKO. He prides himself in listening first, then creating the perfect look to complete the best salon experience ever for his clients.
Norma Melendez

With over 25 years of experience, Norma enjoys turning someone’s bad day into a good one. Her clients often comment on her “gentle touch” and how relaxing an appointment with her is. Her loyal clientele enjoys many good days with Norma.

With the eye of an artist, Julia is known for creating some of the most beautiful brows, elegant lashes and overall transformations in all of NYC. She is adored by her clientele both male and female and believes that nothing finishes your look better than a perfect brow.
Richard Grandinetti

Salon YOSHIKO welcomes world renowned make- up artist Richard Grandinetti to our collective. As creative director and trainer, he has worked with some of the top brands in the cosmetic industry from Scott Barnes to Trish McEvoy. His global list of celebrity clientele includes some of the world’s most beautiful and successful women, and now he brings his talents to our salon. Richard loves to let an individual’s beauty and personality shine thru never following trends but using colors and techniques best suited to his clientele. Richard will be available for applications and lessons.
Christopher Zerebny
Colorist
Christopher-John is widely considered one of beauty’s leading colorist’s. The cumulative weight of his celebrated past and his continued innovation in the field make him a true master colorist. CJ has created memorable signature color for some of the world’s most iconic models, celebrities and designers. Known for his reds and blondes, both organically natural and boldly theatrical his art can be seen gracing the covers of fashion bibles such as Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Marie Claire, ALLURE magazine and Elle both domestic and international. Also on the inside in ad campaigns for Prada, Gucci, Versace, Dior, Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Dolce & Gabbana and Anna Sui. Christopher-John is both thrilled and honored to have joined the talented creative team at BG, to execute Salon YOSHIKO brilliance and detail of his passion that the likes of MADONNA, Kate Moss, Donatella Versace and fashion royalty too numerous to list have grown accustomed to.
Fryda Herrera
Colorist
Frida began her career at Pierre Michel Haute Coiffure & Beaute. She’s expanded her knowledge over the past 16 years at Serge Normant at John Frieda, Frederic Fekkai, John Barret Salon, and now as part of Salon YOSHIKO at Bergdorf Goodman. Frida’s technique comes from Dessange Paris and she continues to attend beauty trainings worldwide. She is known for working with each client to create a unique look and personalized hair color with rich dimensional shades that fit beautifully with each individual’s skin tone.
Lori Chicka
Colorist
A native New Yorker with a background in art, Lori joined the Frederic Fekkai Salon in 2000. While there she trained in Paris and perfected her Balayage technique. Known as a great communicator, Lori collaborates with her clients to create the best color to suit their individual needs, while maintaining healthy, shiny hair.
Michelle Huh
Colorist
Michelle Huh discovered her passion for hair color in her hometown of Chicago. She moved to New York City and was invited to join the John Barrett team where she started a new chapter of her career being trained in the art of the French technique of Balayage. Michelle is well known for creating beautiful, sexy baby blonde highlights, natural sun kissed looks, rich browns and vibrant reds. She takes her time with every client providing excellent customer service and beautiful results.
William Simon
Colorist
William Jean-Simon helped introduce the world to the surfer-girl inspired California blonde look and the concept of “baby blonde.” William’s sophisticated color palette ranges from strawberry blonde, caramel and honey, to darker hues. In his early days in Paris at Claude Maxime Rive Gauche, he began experimenting with different color techniques, which landed him a job at the Jacques Dessange International, where he created each season’s color trends with clients like Jacqueline Picasso, Monica Belluci, Juliette Binoche and Eva Herzigova. After relocating to New York, he spent ten years as a Designer Colorist at Frederic Fekkai and worked with clients like Heidi Klum, Sting and Trudy Styler. In 2009 he took up residence at Sharon Dorram Color at Sally Hershberger and then became the Creative Color Director of Red Door Spa Elizabeth Arden. William Jean-Simon’s technique today is an artful combination of balayage, unique sponge painting, and specific highlighting methods, which uses tissue for meticulous color. He also uses a paintbrush for its light and even distribution of color to create the softest and most natural highlights.
Kenji Ishimoto
Stylist
Kenji Ishimoto began his hairstyling career at one of the top hair salons in Tokyo, Japan, while building his clientele and doing editorial work for both print and film. He relocated to New York and joined the team at Frederic Fekkai where he became an integral part of the education team. Kenji joined Salon YOSHIKO at Bergdorf Goodman in 2019 and continues his editorial work during NYFW, styling for such names as Proenza Schouler, Rag & Bone, Altuzurra, and Kate Spade. After a life changing accident that left him injured at a very young age, Kenji decided he wanted to live a life of service. He is currently the director of the NPO Hope for All, working with women in Asia to support their educations. They have established a beauty school in Nepal and Kenji is now one of the educators, paying it forward by teaching his craft to those less fortunate.
Carrie Capalbo
Stylist
With 10+ years in the business Carrie started her career working with some of the top salons and celebrity hair stylists including Frederic Fekkai. She has styled hair for fashion shows, (including Miami Swim Week), weddings and special events. Her editorial work has been featured in Palm Beach Illustrated magazine. Carrie, a Florida native, is a welcomed addition to our Palm Beach Collective.
Ali Dash

With 10+ years working in both Palm Beach and The Hamptons. Ali begins each appointment with a consultation, carefully listening to what his clients want to achieve. Together they decide what will work best-based on lifestyle, texture, and the overall condition of their hair . Trained at the Aveda Institute- Ali specializes in cutting, color, highlights, and extensions. Ali's relentless drive for perfection has led to a loyal clientele that continue to recommend him to their friends and family.
Paolo Bellobuono

Paolo brings fashion forward Italian Artistry and decades of International experience to the Collective. He has worked in some of the most prestigious salons in jet-set hot spots such as Monte Carlo, Milan, Forte Dei Marmi and Palm Beach. His passion as a stylist developed at the early age of 16 where he worked in his uncle's salon in Italy. He has worked in top European Salons such as Toni & Guy, Aldo Coppola & Jean Louis David. Paolo's decades of experience are sought after by celebrities and clientele who appreciate the artistry and master skills developed on the runways across Europe. He is known to help shape his client's image to fit their personality and give them the premium look to complete their luxury lifestyle.
